A little about us.
ABLE is a non-profit organization that was created by anglers to help restore the coastal estuaries and marsh lands of Louisiana. Louisiana's coastal environment acts as a nursery to a good portion of the Gulf of Mexico's wildlife and sea life. Devastating land loss is a major problem facing the coastal areas of Louisiana and ABLE is trying to do our part to leave this amazing ecosystem better than we found it.
Some of our work.
ABLE is currently working on a multi-year project using native black mangroves to help shoreline stabilization in eastern St. Bernard Parish. We are also enlisting the help of a local high school to grow future mangroves for plantings in years to come.
